Quality Management Systems

The whole concept of “Quality Management” does not limit itself to buying a generic manual from an external company that does not even know your company or how your employees work. It may have worked in the past, but not anymore. Quality is not just about implementing a system or working towards a set standard either. Quality is an attitude. It's a way of working which not only improves your business but also the way people work and live.

Holders of an Air Operator's Certificate (AOC) and approved Maintenance Organisations are required by European regulations to establish a Quality System tailored to their company and designate a Quality Manager. The procedures required to ensure safe operational practices and airworthy aeroplanes/helicopters must be adequate and constantly monitored by the company.

A generic manual will simply not do the job, and may even jeopardize the future of your organization. In order to be fully compliant with the EASA/JAA regulations, a combination of different types of audits must also be included in your Quality System. In addition to the regular internal audits, your quality system itself must be independently audited on a regular basis too.

Skytation can conduct both internal and external audits if you do not have the capability to do it yourselves or if you prefer to rely on external professional auditors like us. We can also supply additional audit resources, thereby ensuring it’s relevance to your field of work. This method is of course perfectly acceptable and compliant with European regulations: many of our customers have actually chosen this option to meet the JAA/EASA requirements.

Skytation can also coach your Quality Manager or provide an expert who will take over the Quality Manager's duties and be in charge of the internal audits.
